Nico: The pleasure was all mine, Jake, even though the ambiance may have been a tad iffy 😂 Hope to have the chance to play again!

David: An enjoyable game with Nico on a glorious Sunday morning at Academy Sport. Strangely, most of the sunlight was blocked out by the flyover above our heads with cars racing across the bridge at breakneck speed! As well as coping with the unusual cacophony of noise, it was also quite difficult to see the other side of the court! Nonetheless, we pressed on! After offering my sincere apologies for arriving late, I made up for lost time by clinching victory in a hurry! Despite a two-week absence from the court for health reasons, it seemed like I had never been away! Nico was daring in her approach and came to the net on several occasions but I found my range with my forehand and won the first set 6-0. The second set followed the same pattern as I continued to take control with some solid groundstrokes. However, it must be noted that Nico improved in the second set and caused me more problems. We had some excellent rallies and it was great fun! Well played Nico! Your passion for tennis and desire to improve was first-class and I expect our next meeting to be a much closer affair! I really enjoyed meeting you and best of luck in the rest of the league!

Well done on a big win which was very well deserved— super consistent throughout, along with many stellar winning shots (especially down the tram lines!).
