Stelian: Cracking match of tennis. Jerome hit the bigger winners and was in control for most of the match so it's a little unfair I take the W today, but that's tennis sometimes. Thank you Jerome for a fantastic game.

Jerome: Great game Stelian. Big quality in your shots and very enjoyable to play again. All the best đź’Ş

Nas: Beccy is such a lovely, polite person. She has a strong serve and groundstrokes. We both struggled with the wind but it was far more competitive than the score suggests.

David: A fantastic match with Arthur on a glorious evening at the brilliant outdoor courts at the All England Club in Raynes Park! The first set could have gone either way! Arthur started strongly and led 2-0 but I fought back and moved 5-4 ahead. However, I couldn’t get the decisive game to clinch the set and Arthur levelled at 5-5. Once again I failed to take advantage at 6-5 up and inevitably a tie-break followed. Arthur had set-point at 6-5 in the tie-break but I managed to win the next three points in a row to take the overall lead. My level dipped slightly at the beginning of the second set and Arthur once again established a 2-0 lead. I won the next three games to move 3-2 ahead after a spellbinding rally when I somehow raced from one side to another and hit a crosscourt forehand winner! Arthur levelled at 3-3 but I took control and won the next three games to secure a hard-fought victory. Well played Arthur! That was a brutal match and I have no doubt that a few wins are coming your way soon! Best of luck and I look forward to meeting you again, hopefully in the next league!

David: A fantastic match with Arthur on the state-of-the-art outdoor court at Raynes Park! It turned out to be a slow burner with an unexpected plot twist at the end! The first set was a scrappy affair as we both attempted to make best use of the cold and blustery conditions. I managed to edge 5-3 ahead and held my serve to take the overall lead. However, the second set was epic! I continued where I left off and raced into a 5-2 lead with solid but unspectacular groundstrokes. I was on the verge of victory but tennis is never over until it’s over! Arthur raised himself off the canvas and took the next three games to level the set at 5-5. I stopped the rot to go 6-5 ahead but Arthur held firm and a tie-break followed. Arthur had all the momentum and advanced into a 5-1 lead but I somehow composed myself and won the next six points to secure a hard-fought victory! Well played Arthur! You had me on the ropes at times and I was very relieved to get over the line! That match could have gone either way! I can’t wait for our next battle and best of luck in the rest of the league!
